Originally designed by B+W Studio in 2007, Starlite began as a hand-crafted design/build project that blended Rat Pack glamour with influences from John Lautner’s organic architecture, Carlsbad Caverns, Star Wars, Italian Futurism, and Hitchcock’s North by Northwest. Sixteen years later, B+W revisited the space, preserving its DNA while elevating it into a more theatrical expression. Reimagining a beloved institution with a loyal following, the team evolved the concept without compromising its soul, keeping the details that made Starlite iconic while introducing new grandeur and refinement. The refreshed interior pairs raw rock walls with soft, tactile materials to create tension between ruggedness and luxury. A sculptural hexagonal bar anchors the room beneath a constellation-like chandelier, while warm copper, walnut, and velvet evoke grounded glamour. Every element was crafted to honor the original while presenting it anew so the result feels familiar yet transformed, cinematic, sensual, and modern.
